Learn How Akaku Can Work for You – Class is 1/21/19

Have you ever dreamed about creating your own TV show?

If being part of a production team, while making a difference in your community sounds like fun, then come find out about your local cable access TV station and how it can work for you, your organization or your company!

Akaku Maui Community Media invites all residents of Maui County to join our class entitled “Introduction to Akaku and Public Access Media” on Monday, January 21, 2019, from 4:00-6:00pm at the Akaku Studios, 333 Dairy Road, Suite. 205 (upstairs).

This informative, two-hour class, is an introduction to the policies and procedures at Akaku and the role of Public Access Television in communities like ours. The orientation is a prerequisite for all of Akaku’s video production classes and also includes a tour of Akaku’s studios and facilities.

Akaku is a non-profit Community Television Station where any Maui County resident can learn about video production and become certified to use professional equipment and facilities. One can also produce your own TV shows for cablecast on local television.

Akaku offers classes in field production, studio production, and digital video editing at a low cost to members of our community.
Once trained, certified members pay an annual fee of $50 and can then reserve cameras, microphones, tripods, edit bays and studio time to make their own shows.
