The Maui Food Innovation Center (MFIC) is a unique, first in-state incubator fostering agribusiness and foodpreneurs x-celeration and education. Part of the University of Hawai’i Maui College, located in Kahului, Maui, MFIC is helping build a stronger, economically diverse, and sustainable Maui by supporting the ever growing, value-added food industry.

Chris Speere, Program Site Coordinator & Associate Professor and Cory Vicens, Instructor will talk about the education program and share how Maui County residents and food producers can take advantage of these classes. The MFIC program offers instruction from concept to consumer, startup to the manufacturer, while covering all aspects in between.
MFIC assists its community by providing technological expertise, innovative training, consultation, a manufacturing facility, and a Resource Hub for new and established food entrepreneurs striving to bring their products to market locally, regionally and nationally.

If you or someone you know has an interest in taking your food product or concept to the next level, you cannot miss this week’s Salon.
