This class is an introduction to editing and will cover the basics of the Macintosh work environment for the use of video and audio editing. Students will learn how to acquire footage from external hard drives, thumb drives and DV Tape. This class is meant to cover the basic editing skills needed to assemble their own program. Students will understand; the FCP interface, how to log and organize footage, how to trim between clips, how to do a basic audio mix, how to add special effects and transitions, how to add titles and how to export for DVD or the web. Final Cut Pro: Intermediate Techniques
This class will cover advanced project organization using multiple projects, multiple sequences, nesting and vertical editing. Importing video from Internet Videos and Digitizing from outside Media Sources such as DVDs, HDV tape and VHS tapes Students will dive deeper into the workings of Video Transitions, Video Filters, Audio Filters and the theories involved in using them. The course will also go over video motion using Key-framing, cropping images, creating multiple images on screen and exporting to DVD and DV tape.Cost $300 (8 hours over two consecutive days)
