
The Akakū Productions department covers all Maui County Council meetings live, many of the County Boards and Commission meetings, and provides live coverage of the primary and general elections.
Can Akakū Produce a Program for my Organization. The Akakū Productions department is able to provide Non-Profit, Education and Government requests for production support that meet the following criteria:

The event must be free and open to the public.

The organization must be a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, an accredited education facility or a valid government entity.

The organization must have a budget to help offset the costs to provide support for the Akakū production crew.

A representative from the organization must be made available on-site to provide support for the Akakū production crew.

The organization is responsible for all talent and location releases and for securing the locations for crew, camera and other equipment as necessary.

The organization will sign an Akakū Cablecast Agreement Form notifying the Public that they are the presenter of the program and are responsible for all content included in the final program.

The organization must request coverage of the event at least 5 days prior to the day of the event.
If your event doesn’t quite fit the requirements to be covered by Akakū staff, you can post to the Akakū Facebook site for community television producers who may be interested in covering your event.
