Students in the Field Camera Certification Course will be introduced to the Sony HXR-MC2000U digital video camera. This class will emphasize proper field production techniques. Students will learn how to operate the manual controls of the Sony HXR-MC2000U camera, the principles of basic shot composition, lighting, and sound recording in the field. Students will be assigned a project they will have to produce and shoot on Saturday. Upon completion of this class, students become “Akakū Student Certified Field Producers” and will complete their first solo project for air on Akakū.
Cost $150 (12 hours) In order to check out the equipment for free you must pass this class, pay the APA fee ($35) and take the Akaku Orientation and Introduction class ($20)
Each class runs for 3 days. Thursday and Friday from 5pm - 8pm and Saturday from 10am - 4pm
